{"id":1131,"date":"2011-06-12T21:34:14","date_gmt":"2011-06-12T20:34:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/salvagesisters.wordpress.com\/?p=1098"},"modified":"2011-06-22T11:52:28","modified_gmt":"2011-06-22T10:52:28","slug":"knit-and-knatter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tullyroan.com\/salvagesisters\/?p=1131","title":{"rendered":"Knit and Knatter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/salvagesisters.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/img_0287.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1099 aligncenter\" title=\"IMG_0287\" src=\"http:\/\/salvagesisters.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/img_0287.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I have made a discovery.. what with our world of social networking and virtual time passing, it fits that to get anything done you need background company!<\/p>\n<p>On reflection, perhaps this is a personal character flaw, I always studied best with company and over the years at school and uni came up with many study comradery adventures &#8211; in caravans, parks, cafes, sleepovers chewing actual coffee granules.. aah moment of appreciation for all you tortured students out there.<\/p>\n<p>It was bliss to attend the recent Belfast council run Revamp workshops I wrote about <a href=\"http:\/\/salvagesisters.wordpress.com\/2011\/04\/14\/rethink-revamp-restyle-all-after-work\/\">here <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/salvagesisters.wordpress.com\/2011\/05\/14\/before-and-afters-at-the-souk\/\">here<\/a>, not least because just pottering away in a room full of people doing the same thing was so comforting, social, inspiring.<\/p>\n<p>So in a bid to reclaim a childhood skill I had a glorious girls night in to &#8216;Knit and Knatter&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/salvagesisters.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/img_0293.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1101 aligncenter\" title=\"IMG_0293\" src=\"http:\/\/salvagesisters.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/img_0293.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/salvagesisters.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/img_0292.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1100 aligncenter\" title=\"IMG_0292\" src=\"http:\/\/salvagesisters.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/img_0292.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It really was a rare privelidge to have both a relaxing and gratifying friday night after a long week..\u00a0 sipping cocktails from a teapot ((i was served lately in a bar in Belfast to this effect) and catching up, whilst patting oneself on back for new skill acquired and that comforting feeling that should you find yourself shivering or naked in the future, you could yarn your way out of that predicament!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/salvagesisters.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/img_0305.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1106 aligncenter\" title=\"IMG_0305\" src=\"http:\/\/salvagesisters.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/img_0305.jpg?w=199\" alt=\"\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The next event, a &#8216;Pic &#8211; knit&#8217;.
