Its all fame and flashes for her ladyship making it into two papers today! Looking swell Mrs D. I need a few tips on posing from her! Apparently her hat is dated compared to the Queen's current trend, so its off shopping for us!

Mrs D. will be heading to Belfast for her birthday on Friday 27th April, possibly for the first time in 20 years, for afternoon tea in The Merchant Hotel! Get those hats on!

It's a funny old time of year for me, Mums birthday is the 19th February, the anniversary of her death is the 10th March 1997, and Mother's day is always somewhere in the mix of these few weeks too.
Last year I threw out the net for submissions of any stories and memories of mum, and what a fun and lovely response. If anyone would like to read them or add to them let me know.

It was a turnout worthy of the lady. On a cold drizzly day last Sunday, everyone was there wrapped up and ready to go, in the spirit that Elizabeth taught us all, for a birthday bog walk. Brilliantly organised by the family, she was remembered in the style of what she was famous for. Good food, good company by a good fire, steely determination whatever the weather, and a good stiff drink!

Welcome to the world Miss Elle Seager, and big congratulations to her Mum and Dad Caitlin and Adair!
You are sooooooo cute.. yes Adair, you too!

A kindly neighbour, of the sort you get in the country, dropped in to share his wares, a bag of apples for Nanny, and some cider for Ryan.
Now Nanny isn't one to sit back and let those apples cook themselves and the need for one of her famous, original, and best apple tarts was declared! Now I haven't seen her bake for at least two years, so I thought I'd better lend a hand.. but that hand was batted away, no one can interfere with the magic!

Many tears have been shed in Tullyroan and beyond over the last couple of days as we try to come to terms with the very sad passing of Elizabeth- a great friend to all who knew her. She lived life to the full and had her fingers in so many different pies. Her sons Jonathan, Peter and Aubrey have asked us to create a little space here where people can draw up a chair and their favourite tipple and share any stories they would like to pass on to the boys and her grandchildren Oran, Finn and Cameron for when they are older.

Poor William nearly changed his mind! Kate is definately the girl for the job though..Beautiful!
